Oxwich bay hotel wedding photography in Swansea
Mathilde and Luke finally got their wedding day after having to rearrange dates with St Illtyd's Church and the Oxwich Bay Hotel due to Covid restrictions.
Even with stormy looking skies at the start of the day the most beautiful even lighting occurred after their ceremony in St Illtyd's. As the day went on the sun slowly broke through and shone over the dunes turning them into a golden and brighter summer scene.
The location was really important to these two as it was at Oxwich Bay where Luke proposed to Mathilde. As a beach lover this is such a stunning venue with everything you could possibly need as you have the sand and dunes are within a minute of walking from the hotel. It also has woods that lead up to St Illtyd's offering bright green trees and leafy backdrops during the summer months. What with the stretching costal views it couldn't be any more perfect. And as the wedding party celebrate on into the afternoon and evening all of these incredible views can be enjoyed right from the wedding marquee Oxwich Hotel offer.
Luke and Mathilde wanted natural and laid back photographs to reflect the real experience of the day and I was more than happy to be a part of that.
Here are some of the highlights from their day:

Oxwich Bay
"Oxwich Bay is one of Gower's most popular beaches, with good access, plenty of parking, shops and two and half miles of golden sand backed by sand dunes, salt marshes and woodland.
It is a haven for all types of water sports including, diving, sailing, water-skiing and windsurfing, with a slipway to the beach. It is a safe beach for swimming, but do not swim directly in front of the slipway as this is the boat area. You can walk across the great expanse of sand towards Tor Bay and Three Cliffs Bay and on a low tide you can walk as far as Pobbles Bay. Oxwich Bay Beach is dog friendly with dogs allowed on the beach all year."
